A Room of Her Own: Discussing Virginia Woolf's Landmark Essay

A 60-minute session, held on 4 August 2024, on Virginia Woolf's A Room of One's Own (1929) and what it means for ordinary lives today. Woolf's claim was simple: to make anything of your own, you need money of your own and a door you can close. The cards take that into our homes: the open doors, the hidden cash tin, the aunt who could sing, the diary someone read, the hour nobody protects, and the quiet corners men keep too. Twelve independent cards; open three or four.
