Submit an Event

Bring peopletogether.

Want to organize a meetup and invite the community? Coffee chats, walks, book discussions, film screenings — anything that brings members together in person. Here's how.

Who can organize?

Any member who's been active in our sessions, or a newer member endorsed by someone the community already knows. The trust of an existing member serves as your introduction.

Important to understand

These are member-initiated, independently organized meetups — not official Thinkers Forum events. We provide the platform for members to find each other. The event itself belongs to whoever organizes it. You are fully responsible for your own meetup.

How to propose a meetup

Every meetup needs approval before it's announced. The process is straightforward.

01

Submit your proposal

Fill out the event proposal form below with the details — what it's about, where and when, expected attendees, and who in the community is vouching for you.

02

Wait for approval

We'll review your submission and get back to you, usually within a day or two. This isn't gatekeeping — it's a quick check to make sure nothing problematic slips through.

03

We list it and you spread the word

Once approved, your event goes live on the website and gets shared in the WhatsApp community. You can also post it in the dedicated offline meetup group.

04

After the meetup, share how it went

Drop a casual post in the group about how it went — a few lines, maybe a photo. It helps others see that meetups actually happen and encourages more people to organize.

The rules

Non-negotiable. Violating any of these means your meetup won't be approved.

No commercial or paid events

Nothing that charges a fee, sells a product, promotes a business, a course, or any form of commercial activity. Splitting bills for food or entry fees is fine. Charging people to attend is not.

No political or religious organizing

We're a space for inquiry, not ideology. Don't use the platform to recruit for political rallies, campaign events, or religious gatherings. Discussing these topics as exploration is welcome — organizing around them is not.

Public places only

All meetups must be held in public venues — cafés, parks, libraries, restaurants, co-working spaces. No private residences. This is a safety measure, especially for members meeting each other for the first time.

Don't clash with TF offline events

Don't schedule your event on the same date and city as any Thinkers Forum offline event. Other cities on the same day are fine. Clashing with online sessions is not an issue.

This is not a Thinkers Forum event

Don't use the Thinkers Forum name, logo, or branding. You're organizing your own gathering and using the community to invite people. The distinction matters — you're fully responsible for your event.

One announcement, no spam

Post your event details once in the meetup group. No repeated reminders or follow-up messages. If people are interested, they'll respond.
