The Minimalist Approach: Purpose, Practice, and Perspectives
A 60-minute session (14 July 2024) on owning less, and on everything that makes it harder than it looks: gifts we didn't want, drawers kept just in case, a loved one's cupboard, a child's pile of toys, twenty thousand photos, a full calendar, and a shared family home. Is owning less a kind of freedom, or a luxury that only looks simple? Twelve independent cards; open three or four.
How we do this
Be respectfulDisagree with the point, never the person.
Raise your hand to speakSo nobody has to talk over anybody.
Keep it shortSay the thing, then let the next person in.
Discussion is encouragedReply to each other, not just to the question.
Tangents are allowedIf the room follows it, it is the discussion.
